We are a thriving skittles team based in a relatively small village in East Devon.  We play in the East Devon Skittles league and have been members for about 8 years. Originally set up in 1998 as the "Tax Dodgers", by a certain Mr Jones, the team has moved with the times! The next name change resulted in adopting the name "Floppers", on the basis that at least we could mention the word flopper each week even though we didn't actually get any whilst playing!. Finally about 6 years ago we became the Westhill.com skittles team and the name has stuck ever since.
There are four divisions and we spent most of our early years enjoying the relaxed atmosphere of Division 4.
We then decided that it would be good to have a look at Division 3 for a change and in the season 2002/2003 we won Division 4.
So up to the dizzy heights of Division 3, and much to our surprise found ourselves in with a chance of back-to back promotions.  Never ones to miss an opportunity, we grasped the Championship with both hands and waved goodbye to Division 3 after only one season!
So up to the "crouch" heights of Division 2, and we felt a  period of consolidation was called for.
We've now spent the last two seasons in the top half of Division 2 and we may well be thinking that it's time to move on again........up or down we haven't decided yet!! Watch this Space!
